About me

Hi everyone my name is Gabriella but most people call me Gaby. I am a twenty eight year old, half Puertorrican, half Costarrican, believer in Jesus. I run a blog called “The Art of Surrendering” where I share my journey of following Jesus.

I believe there is beauty in surrendering to Christ and it is reflected in our transformation as we become more like Him. There is an art in laying our lives for Christ, It’s like a craft that we have to keep working on; it’s sometimes messy, it’s mundane, it’s weak, but the Lord sees beauty in that craft.

I’m an artist and designer and one thing I have learned making art is that most people only see and love the end result. Now the process to get there is most of the time not very beautiful but at the same time it’s what gives meaning to it.

Why start a blog?

I decided to start this blog because I felt a calling from the Lord to share with others what he has put in my heart, but at the same time doing this feels very scary and daunting.

Therefore I am stepping out in faith and trusting that he is a perfect leader. I want to surrender everything to him and be as raw and genuine as possible.

I want to invite you into my journey and I hope I can inspire you in your journey of following Jesus. Oh what a Joy it is to surrender our lives for the Lord! He is truly worthy of it all!
